Professional Development Topics
Teaching with Rigor training will teach
participants how to utilize the attributes of STAAR (focus, clarity, and depth) to prepare for success. This training will also guide
participants how to identify the level of rigor current standards require. The session will train participants how to teach conceptually to scaffold instruction to the level of rigor
identified in the standards and create
learning tasks that enhance the students role in the learning. It will help teachers guide
students to product development to
demonstrate learning and identify methods to scaffold activities based on Bloom’s Cognitive Levels.
